Canadian Friends of the Lebanon Mountain Trail - Bring Lebanon's Trails and Biodiversity to the Royal Botanical Gardens

This year, a renewed reforestation push at Tannourine has set an ambitious but achievable goal: planting 4,000 seedlings across degraded and open sections of the reserve. The initiative focuses on native Lebanon cedar (Cedrus libani), alongside companion species that support soil stability and biodiversity, helping rebuild a resilient, multi-generational forest rather than a single-species monoculture.

As part of promoting everyone’s right to access and enjoy nature, The Lebanon Mountain Trail Association, in partnership with the Tannourine Cedar Forest Nature Reserve and ieng, has the pleasure of inviting you on June 20, 2026 to the inauguration ceremony of a new trail segment designed specifically for persons with visual impairments within the reserve.
